Eskom Shower Head

WRITING A PRODUCT REVIEW

In the following review, the Eskom shower head is going to be discussed as well as all its energy and money saving aspects for example: how much one can really save by using an energy and water saving shower head? What is and energy and water saving showerhead? How much does it cost to replace my ordinary shower heads with energy and water saving shower heads?
How much one can really save by using an energy and water saving shower head?
Energy saving shower heads and setting your geyser to 60 degrees and trying to stick to 7 minute showers could save you up to 35 liters of water each shower you take. On average three 7 minute showers costs close to R383.25 per year on your water bill.
What is and energy and water saving showerhead?
Using an energy and water saving shower head will reduce water flow so that it flows less than 10 liters per minute which is much less than the conventional shower heads 15 liter per minute flow rate.
How much does it cost to replace my ordinary shower heads with energy and water saving shower heads?
Energy and water saving shower head can cost between R80 and R800 each, depending on the material. Plastic heads are usually cheaper than and just as efficient as metal options, which are more expensive, but will however not last as long as the metal because of the weak durability of plastic. But based on how must the fitting will save you in the future the investment will virtually pay for itself within a year.
Will my shower be as enjoyable if I use an energy efficient shower head?
For a lot of people showering is an experience that they look forward to. Showering with a shower head that has a flow rate of about 8 //min can be satisfying as showering with an ordinary shower head. The only thing that would influence your flow rate is the water pressure of your geyser it should be more than 1 bar.
Are these shower heads compatible with all showers?
No the pressure of the showers hot and cold water needs to be balanced for these shower heads to provide optimum savings.
Is the shower head difficult to install and how do you install it?
No the shower head isn’t difficult to install and it does not require a lot of effort.  The shower heads have a female BSP pipe fitting which is screwed to a stand pipe. A tool is not normally required to fasten the shower head if it’s screwed to the standpipe, making removing your old shower head easy. All that is required is that you need grab the little extension above the head piece and turn it anti-clockwise to remove. If the shower head is too tight then all you need to do is loosen it by hand then use a water pump pliers or a shifting spanner.
