Doctor, Painting the Future
The story of Doctor Mhesuli began many years ago in the city
of Nelspruit in Mpumalanga. Doctor grew up in the city of Nelspruit, and
completed his school career, at Mpangeni Secondary School in Kwa-Zulu Natal.
At a stage in Doctor Mhesuli’s life,
he was lost. He had no dreams, no goals and his life seemed to be going nowhere
fast. Through the guidance of his brother, Doctor’s life was turned around.
Doctor’s brother decided to teach him the basics of painting at home, and Doctor
immediately fell in love with idea of being a painter and since then he set a
goal to become one of the best painters South Africa has to offer.
Doctor started his career as a painter in Nelspruit with his
brother on a contract for Grobler Construction. Through hard work,
determination and the support of his brother and his old boss, Doctor received
a promotion. He was promoted to supervisor. This achievement proved to Doctor
that anything is possible if you’re willing to do the hard work.
Doctor is very passionate about helping others by sharing his
knowledge with anyone and everyone, hoping to help others to better themselves
personally and professionally. Doctor says that he has helped many people by
offering them jobs, in the hopes that they will turn their lives around and get
off the streets.

Doctor experiences many problems on a
day-to-day basis, one of them being inexperienced painters. This sometimes leads to big mistakes,
mistakes which he now has to rectify. But as the years have gone by, things
have only gotten better and better as more workers with proper training have
begun to appear.
“I work because I want to, not for the money,” says Doctor. Doctor
is an inspiration to us all. Despite all the challenges he’s had to face, he
has been very successful and has devoted his time to not only his career, but
to helping others pursue their dreams. As a group we are honoured to have met
Doctor, and we hope and trust that he will be even more successful in the years
to come. Paint the way Doctor.
