The story of Jack Mkhize

Jack, Supervising the Future

The story of Jack Mkhize started 30 years ago in a small rural town in Mpumalanga. At the age of 20, Jack decided to join his uncle in the construction business. His uncle was his mentor who guided him and taught him all he needed to know about brick laying. John began his career in construction as a common brick layer and slowly worked his way up to being a supervisor after 10 years of hard work and determination.
Jack is a very educated individual and completed his school career with relatively good marks. He followed his dream of becoming a supervisor, and to this day, still enjoys every minute of every day at work. “Do what you love and you will never have to work a day in your life”, said Jack confidently.
Jack has vast experience and has worked on ±40 projects in his life. He has met many people and he has changed the lives of many, for the better of course. Jack explains that his toughest day to day challenge is to minimize wastage.
To Jack, the most important aspect in his life is to have a good relationship with the people he loves, including his co-workers, and thus, despite his tough past, Jack aims to provide a better future for his family, friends and co-workers.
Jack plans on opening a small construction firm with his uncle and close friends, and we as a group hope and trust that he will be more successful in the future. Jack is an inspiration to us all. He has a clear vision and is building his future, brick by brick.
